Christmas Stocking Book Treat Box

Christmas Stocking Book Treat Box

When you get your Holiday Mini Catalog or you view it online, don’t miss the Book Treat Boxes! They will be cute to decorate for holiday treats (any holiday!) or as a small gift box! Mine is the Christmas Stocking Book Treat Box and was easy to assemble and easy to decorate!

In the package you get ten stampable boxes. The finished size is 3″ x 4″ x 1″. It is easy enough to make the little box that goes inside. It is already scored and has adhesive strips on the ends so all you have to do is fold and crease. Put the tabs inside and fold over the ends with the adhesive strips.

These Book Treat Boxes look like a little book. You can decorate them however you like. They’re a little different twist from other treat packaging we have had. We all know we need lots of small boxes during the holidays and with these, you can personalize them according to the gift or the season. The boxes are 3″ x 4″ x 1″ and come 10 in the package. They are already scored so all you have to do is fold on the scored lines. You will be able to figure out how to fold the “box” part.

Then peel off the adhesive strips on the cover that goes around the box. Place the box against the side that folds around it and with fairly even margins around the other three sides. The cover will fold across the top of the box and then the little tab will come over from the right side.

Book Treat Box Assembly

There is already a piece of adhesive on that tab or you could add a small magnet to hold that tab closed. If I had thought of it, I could have moved the stocking over a little and used that to hold down the tab.

I left the box itself plain white, but you could decorate the 3 sides that will show from the outside.

To decorate the cover, I used a piece of red designer paper with white dots in the Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I measured the cover of the box and cut it close to that but a little larger, then trimmed off the excess with Paper Snips. Just cut around the rounded corners.

The stocking is in the Joyful Images Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. The stocking is one of the many diecuts in the package that you can use on cards or other projects, quick and easy! I think these Christmas images are just adorable! I popped up the stocking on Stampin’ Dimensionals and also added a little sprig diecut behind the top of the stocking. It still needed something so I chose the little “joy” diecut in the Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack. It fit perfectly and finished off my little box nicely! I would say get your hands on these ephemera packs early because they are so cute I think they will be popular. they are just fun to use!

In the photo below you can see how the Book Treat Box looks from the side and you can see the box that you will assemble inside that cover. You might want to decorate the three sides of the box itself that will show and maybe the inside edges of the cover. Or just leave them white!
