I've been wanting to try using the Icicle Rub-Ons (#116804) in the Holiday Mini on a clear glass Christmas ornament. Then as I was reading the December 2009 issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine I saw this cute idea! Just stick some greenery and berries into a clear ornament and add a ribbon and greeting! I also added the Icicle Rub-Ons and just cut off some greenery and berries I already had in my Christmas decorations. I decided to sprinkle a little White Chunky Essentials Glitter (#108797) in the bottom for a snowy look! The greeting is from Berry Christmas (#116509) Fun and easy project for your Christmas decorating!

Christmas Scrapbook Pages
I loved the look of the projects in the Holiday Mini for the stamp set Yuletide Christmas. Here are some scrapbook pages you can create using this stamp set as well as the beautiful Medallion stamp.
The first one is a 6×6 page, which, in a workshop, I like to have people make as a card from a 6" x 12" card base. Then they can add photos and send or give to someone as a card, or it can be cut apart and you have two 6×6 layouts. Or they can even be framed!
Inside
Then if you wanted to add one of these pages to make an 8.5" x 11" page, it could look like this:
And of course if you wanted to make a 12" x 12" page, you could design it like this:
It's not too early to start designing some scrapbook pages for your Christmas album now and then after the holidays, all you have to do is add the photos!

Christmas Top Note Card
Here's a fun card we made at a recent workshop. The card base is Real Red and I'm sure you recognize the Top Note Die made with the Big Shot. I stamped the Top Note layer with Old Olive little images in the Delightful Decorations set and stamped and punched out the ornaments with the fabulous new Ornament Punch in the Holiday Mini. I just used a little bit of Gold Cord on the ornaments for a hook and popped them up with Dimensionals.
Don't think that after Christmas you will have to put away the Ornament Punch because it is out of season either!! Some creative gals have used it to make vases or fish (sideways) and other things! Amazing!
If you would like to purchase any of the product used in this card, please email me or use the Shop Online button!
A Pottery Barn Look-a-Like
While shopping at Pottery Barn, I saw some monogram ornaments with silver glitter and I thought…"I could make that!" So I went home, found a round coaster (or I could have used chipboard), covered the back of the coaster (that was printed) with Stampin' Up! Specialty Night and Day Designer Paper. The Pottery Barn monogram was larger, but I stamped my initial with the Lovely Letters Alphabet, an alphabet I just love. After applying the Tombow Multi Glue around the edge of the front (and then the back later) I adhered the Silver Chunky Essentials Glitter. Wouldn't this be a quick and easy gift or tag on a gift for someone?!
Serene Snowflakes Peppermint Patty
Always love these quick and easy Peppermint Patties made with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and the ever-popular Scallop Circle Punch! Stamp a Serene Snowflake (in the Holiday Mini) on Whisper White with Bashful Blue ink. Punch out with the Circle Punch. Punch two Bashful Blue Scallop Circles for the top and bottom of the Peppermint Patty. Adhere the snowflake to one Scallop Circle. Attach to the candy with Mini Glue Dots. Cute!!

Shimmery Snowflakes
Another "copy" of a card in the Holiday Mini……..I just love the picture on page 26 of the Holiday Mini of the "Snow" scrapbook page, a "Season's Greetings" card and a little box. I wanted to try out the beautiful "Serene Snowflakes" stamp set along with the new Shimmer Paint. The Shimmer Paint (page 27 Holiday Mini) is easy to use….just shake the bottle and in most cases just use the little bit of paint inside the lid, picking up with a sponge dauber or paintbrush. You can ink up your stamp, then apply the Shimmer Paint to the stamp right over the ink and then stamp…..OR just apply the Shimmer Paint directly to the stamp and stamp. There are three colors of Shimmer Paint available and I may have tried them all out on this card! You can't detect the "shimmer" on the card but I think you can see how the look of the snowflakes change as you move the card. You should be able to click on the photos to make them larger. The Shimmer Paint is just something fun to give a subtle, elegant look to your projects!

Stampin’ Up! Convention Make & Takes
We got lots of Make & Take projects at Convention plus the four stamp sets and a wheel to do them with! I'm sure everyone loved getting so many things to stamp, but it was a little too much to do in the time allotted. However, I didn't mind because after stamping a couple of things, I opted to just save mine to do at home…..and instead I went to stand in line for Memento Mall to open so I could buy my Stampin' Up! Bear!! So I had the best of both worlds! The stamp sets we received were:
- Hello Again p. 114
- Sweet Season p. 29
- Things I Love p. 54
- Tree Trimmings p. 28
- Retro Remix Stampin' Around wheel p. 114
Here are the projects:
Get Ready for Christmas!
I know, I know! We just had Easter! But are you making a few Christmas cards each month so that when December rolls around you won't feel so behind??! Just do a little bit at a time and it won't be such a big job!
Here's a very easy card, not even using a Christmas set…..the little medallion is from "Priceless". The designer paper is retired but certainly you can use another current pattern. The greeting is from "Holidays and Wishes". Try your own version! Just make five cards! You can do another design next month! Although this design is so easy, you'll probably want to make more! Have fun!
Valentine Stamp Camp
These are the projects we made at my Valentine Stamp Camp last weekend!
If you missed this one, I hope you can make the next one!
Love, love, love making these nugget tins! They are SO easy and SO cute when you get finished, no matter how you decorate your tin. Just take a strip of Designer Series Paper approximately 1" x 3" and wrap around a Hershey's Nugget. You can use Sticky Strip. I used a dab of SNAIL to hold the paper on the top of the nugget, then used the Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive (in the green bottle) to hold the ends of the paper (just a small dab). The scallop on the belly band is stamped with the Love You Much stamp set. You could also just tie a pretty ribbon around and attach a tag or even use a rub on on the clear top. So cute!
This is the same card I made for swapping at the SU San Antonio Regional with the stamp set "A Happy Heart". I used the Spiral Punch and the Bella Rose DSP.
This Valentine I copied from one made by Wendy Janson.
Here are some pillow boxes made with the Big Shot and Pillow Box die. The one we made at the stamp camp I punched out with the Heart to Heart Punch, then adhered a piece of transparency inside the pillow box. We stamped more hearts with the Love You Much stamp set, punched out with the Heart to Heart Punch and then decorated the pillow box. These were fun to make. I love my Big Shot!
And if you think I am crazy, or that your eyes are playing tricks with you, yes, that IS a Christmas card you see! This is in keeping with my challenge to myself to start on Christmas EARLY!! We used the Snow Swirled stamp set to make this card and put the tiniest bit of Dazzling Diamond Glitter on the snowflakes on the tree. The Christmas card design was one I found by Caroline LeBel and just loved. So simple yet so elegant. I used Real Red on that card as I was afraid I was running out of the Riding Hood Red Ribbon and wanted to use the Real Red Grosgrain.

Need an Easy Gift Bag?
Not to go back to Christmas so soon, but here is an example of how easy stamping can make your life! When you need a gift bag, grab a lunch sack that you probably have in your pantry or can buy a whole package at a discount or grocery store. Stamp it, trim the very top off to look a little neater and straighter (I used the Scallop Edge Punch on mine), and fold it over. Punch two holes in the top and put a beautiful ribbon through (this one is the lovely Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla on page 23 in the Holiday Mini)….tie in a knot or a bow, hang a tag from it if you want. Done!
If you want to jazz it up a little, add some eyelets, or for a nicer outside, adhere designer paper or cardstock to the bag. Sometimes just the plain brown paper bag is the most decorative, though!
Christmas Stamping
I haven't really disappeared but just trying to get everything done for the holidays like everyone! I have been stamping even though I haven't posted. Here are some things I have stamped recently, most likely copied from another talented demonstrator. I usually like to give credit but I don't have those names in front of me right now and this is a rush!
Shelli Makes Holiday Table Settings
Look what I just found!! I was reading Shelli's blog (founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! of course) and saw that she had an appearance on an NBC station in Utah. She shows how to make easy holiday place settings using the Curly Label Punch Bundle (item #112966, page 189…only $33.95 for the punch itself and four stamps!). Such simple and fun ways to make your holiday table so pretty for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's! She also has a VERY cute pillow box favor made with the Big Shot! You won't want to miss this!
And here is a link to the Utah TV station where you will find a list of supplies and directions on how to make the projects shown:
