Fully Flowering Ephemera Card

Fully Flowering Ephemera Card

Something new in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog are these Ephemera Packs! I decided to use a couple of the precut pieces to make this Fully Flowering Ephemera Card. It only takes a few minutes, and you can still add your personalization to the card. There are four different package choices to make cardmaking or scrapbooking quick and easy! Check them out on page 19 in the Annual Catalog or online.

If you want to make cardmaking very easy you can purchase a set of five cards and five envelopes. There are two different styles and will go with any of the ephemera packs. With these cards, you don’t even have to choose which colors of cardstock to use. They are ready to go and the envelopes are decorated and match the cards.

For my card today, I chose these flower images from the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack. The front image of two pink flowers, leaves, and green strawberries is one image and the extra pink flower at the top is another one. These floral elements in this pack are laser-cut to look like die-cut pieces. Just punch them out and adhere to your card or project. You get 8 sheets, 2 each of 4 different designs. Each sheet is 5″ x 7″. There are over a dozen colors that coordinate with this Fully Flowering Pack. A few of the images are not colored in so you can use those as they are or color them in yourself.

I chose a Pretty In Pink Cardstock card base with a layer of Basic White cut a little smaller than usual at 3 3/4″ x 5″. I thought the background needed “something” so I chose to “splatter” some Pretty In Pink ink on the Basic White. My splattering skills needed a little practice but really, you can’t go wrong with splattering! I just added some Pretty In Pink reinker into the lid of the ink pad and picked it up with some water using the Water Painter. Then I tapped the Water Painter against my Take Your Pick Tool to make the ink splatter.

The large image of the two pink flowers is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the extra pink flower is just adhered flat on the card with Stampin’ Seal. The greeting is in the Saying Something Ephemera Pack. I also added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels, which are retired, but I am going to use mine anyway. They are good for adding a little sparkle without showing off too much with color. If you want to use something in the Annual Catalog I would suggest the Iridescent Foil Gems or the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Both of these ephemera packs that I used on this card are back ordered but will be in stock again soon! the Saying Something Pack is due the week of July 1 and the Fully Flowering Pack is due the week of July 8. You can always check sooner because some things come in a little ahead of the date.

Don’t think these Ephemera Packs are limited to cardmaking! They can be used for scrapbook pages, too, or even other projects such as home decor, maybe in a framed piece. The sky is the limit!
