I almost surprised myself one day, in the middle of this summer heat wave, to realize that Halloween would indeed be here some time not too far off so I thought I would get in the mood by stamping this card with the Stampin’ Up! Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set, My Hero. Every year Stampin’ Up! makes one stamp set to benefit the RMHC which helps families dealing with their children’s illnesses. When you purchase this stamp set, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to the charity! You can stamp and know that you are helping someone at the same time!
This stamp set has stamps for many occasions you need during the year: Get well, Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, and more! I’m really not sure what the little stubby stamp is for but I used it for the stem on my pumpkin! I stamped the pumpkin (or should I say Jack-o-lantern) randomly on the card, then colored in the face with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker. The little stem is stamped with Old Olive.
The “Celebrate” banner comes in the set so that was perfect! I stamped that in black and then colored in with my Pumpkin Pie marker. For a little pizzazz I added two of the stars in the Metallic Enamel Shapes! So cute! The banner is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Such and fun and easy card and I know I’ve helped the Ronald McDonald House Charities a tiny bit by purchasing the My Hero Stamp Set.
