The Stampin’ Up! Kit Collection is different from Paper Pumpkin Kits. Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription that is mailed to you each month when you are a subscriber. When my Paper Pumpkin Kit finally shows up in my mailbox each month, usually the weekend is a good time to sit down and make the project in the kit! These are the three card designs to make with the kit and from there, you can make whatever you want with the supplies!
I usually like to make the project as designed first, and then decide if I want to continue or make some alternates. There are always alternative ideas for each Paper Pumpkin Kit on the internet and even on the directions Stampn’ Up! sends in the box!
This kit was to celebrate ten years of Paper Pumpkin! I think I attended the Convention when the first kit was introduced, or at least I remember I got a free kit at the Convention! I always say it’s a present you give yourself to get a papercrafting kit right in the mail with everything you need inside, but it really does seem like a gift! You open the cute box and inside you’ll find the package of supplies all wrapped up in colored tissue paper, just like a gift! So it IS a gift you give yourself!! And you can gift someone else, too!
The cards in this kit have a pretty design already printed on the front, and then there are diecut pieces of foliage and ferns and pots to add to the card front. There are pieces on which to stamp a greeting and add that to the card. I put the greetings on two cards but I may use another greeting from another stamp set on some of the other cards. So the kits are always easy to make for anyone.
This celebratory kit even came with an extra FREE stamp set to use any time! Paper Pumpkin often has little surprises for us!
Here is a video to see how this kit went together. There is always a video you can watch plus the directions that come in the kit. Some months there are extra full kits or “refills” that are available in the Online Store IF you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber. If you decided you loved a particular kit and wanted another one, or, for example, at Christmas time maybe you want two kits to make a lot of gift tags or cards. Available starting 1 February 2023, the Wreath of Blooms Kit is such a fun way to try new crafting techniques and create something special for your home! You’ll get an 8″ diameter wreath to fill with blossoms. Roll and shape the precut paper pieces to make three-dimensional flowers. Pin them together with brads and glue them to the wreath. Then hang it for all your friends and family to see!
You will need a hot glue gun to adhere the flowers to the wreath. Glue gun not included.

If you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up!, it is a monthly subscription papercrafting kit that comes in the mail to you! Every month you get this cute box with all the supplies you need, including adhesive, to make the project for that month. Mostly the kits are cards, but they can be little treat boxes or a home decor item, a small album, gift card holders, special projects for holidays….almost anything! With the first kit, you receive a special acrylic block on which to mount your stamps that come in a set in the kit. You can always watch a video, plus read the directions to make each project. The Kits Collection are papercrafting kits (cards and crafts) sold in the Online Store. These are different from Paper Pumpkin, which is a monthly subscription to receive a surprise kit in the mail every month. Both are fun!
Sad to say, this Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper is retiring soon! Get some, at a discount, so you can make easy but pretty cards like this Flowering Fields Tulip Thinking of You Card. There are so many coordinating colors with this paper so you have a lot of variety!
I actually put an extra layer on this card, under the designer paper, just because there are so many colors to use. The card base is Mango Melody with a layer of Calypso Coral. Then I used two patterns from the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. The bottom pattern is cut at 2″ wide so that the top piece can overlap by 1/2″ before adhering to the card. I also added a narrow strip of another pattern of dark green to cover that seam. Then I decided to tie someLinen Thread around twice and tied a separate bow and added that! Then I was able to glue the whole Flowering Fields DSP to the card front!
The greeting is stamped in Mango Melody Ink on Basic White from the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set. It is very closely diecut with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies stitched circle and then layered on the next larger Mango Melody die.
On the inside, I added a Basic White layer but added a strip of designer paper to the bottom edge of the white cardstock. That carries the design to the inside plus the Basic White layer provides a place to stamp a greeting or write a personal note. You could do the same just on the Mango Melody card base but it’s a little bright!
Although the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper is retiring on June 30th, the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set and Tulips Dieshave carried over into the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. However, if you want the stamp set and dies, I suggest you order the Flowering Tulips Bundle before the end of June. You will save 10% off the total price if you order the Bundle now because in the Annual Catalog the stamp set and dies are sold separately and you will pay full price for both. Note that some other products that are in Bundles that are discounted on the Last Chance Sale will be cheaper to buy separately than in the Bundle!
