Here’s the current September 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! Don’t you wish it would have showed up in YOUR mailbox?! Every Paper Pumpkin Kit that comes to you in your mailbox has all the supplies you need for the project (except basic adhesive and scissors, possibly). You get a cute little photopolymer stamp set, a little ink spot, and then the supplies you need, instructions, and a link to a video, like this one above that you can watch for a little extra direction in making your project. You can follow along or make up your own design!  Sometimes there are extra supplies leftover that you can use on other projects you make.

And from now until October 10th, you can help fight breast cancer while you have fun with your Paper Pumpkin Kit!  Stampin’ Up! will donate $1 for every new subscriber to Paper Pumpkin plus $1 for every active subscriber to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Be sure not to pause your subscription for October so your subscription will be counted!

Remember, those who get the October kit will not only be donating to a good cause, but they will also get a one-time only, pretty pink Paper Pumpkin box! No one will want to miss it. Promise.

  • New subscribers are those who signed up between September 11 and October 10, 2015 and have not been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber at any time in the past.

  • Mini spoiler alert! The October project inside the pink box is just as awesome as always, but we should probably let you know that it is not a pink project. That’s all we’re saying. 😉
  • Funds will be donated based on number of subscribers instead of boxes shipped. But, if you want more than one pink box, you can always increase your subscription quantity by logging into your account at PaperPumpkin.com before October 10.Stamp Out Breast Cancer with Paper Pumpkin

Witching Decor Project Kit Witch Hat

If you are interested in this Witching Decor Project Kit, order it right away! Stampin’ Up! says demand is growing the closer we get to fall and Halloween and once they run out there will not be time to order more.  I LOVE this kit and made my witch’s hat in probably about two hours, if that.  It is not difficult.  The most time-consuming part is punching out the die-cut leaves, stamping a little texture (nothing exact) on them, crumpling and stringing. You will also need the Witches’ Night Stamp Set if you want to stamp the Halloween label on the front. But if you want, you can make up something with whatever stamps you have.  But I do love that label as is!

If you like Halloween like I do, you DO want this kit!  But I strongly suggest you order it as soon as possible so you can get one!  I think it is one of the best kits Stampin’ Up! has done.

It will help make cute Christmas tags and many other tags and projects! Of course I have always loved the Glimmer Paper and this week the Silver Glimmer Paper is discounted!  Perfect for the holidays coming up! The Confetti Hearts Border Punch is good for making teeny tiny hearts – maybe to put in shaker cards or for some confetti – or to simply punch a unique border on a card or project or scrapbook page. Then we have a couple ribbons, pearls and metallic sequins to embellish with, always great to have an assortment of things to add like that. Sequins are the “in” thing right now and a great adhesive to use with them is the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen in the Holiday Catalog.

Paper Pumpkin Kits to the Rescue!

Paper Pumpkin August 2015 Kit ProjectsI have to say my Paper Pumpkin kits saved my sanity yesterday! Pictured above are just some of the projects in the August Paper Pumpkin Kit. I stopped with those in case I wanted to make anything different with the remaining materials. I would vote the August Paper Pumpkin Kit probably the easiest and prettiest kit to date. There were lots of other kits I also loved, but this one was really so easy and turned out so nicely. And that’s what I needed yesterday!

Our power went off yesterday at 8:30 am, not due to any storm or anything wrong that I could see.  I even thought we had a new transformer or something for our part of the neighborhood put in recently due to the frequent outages we were having. In the many, many years we have lived here in Houston, we have never had the power go off as much as it did there for awhile a couple months ago.  Even after hurricanes and tropical storms, OUR power came back on in a few hours, even if others’ didn’t for a couple weeks.  Maybe this is payback!

Thank goodness now for email notifications from the electric company telling us what was going on (or not going on!). As we passed the first estimated time of repair and another couple hours was estimated, I suddenly realized the air-conditioner was not running and would not be and it was going to get HOT in here! For lunch I went to Subway and picked up sandwiches and a cold, icy Coke since we couldn’t open the refrigerator with the power off. As the next email said “repairs were taking longer than estimated”, but, by golly, they were trying really hard to fix it, the temperature climbed to 93 degrees outside, according to my phone. Now that’s cool compared to what we had not long ago, 100+, so I should be grateful. We closed all the blinds to keep the heat out, didn’t talk or move much.

Finally I decided I needed something to do to take my mind off how hot it was getting inside, so I got out my new August Paper Pumpkin Kit that just arrived the other day! What a blessing that kit was, this one in particular! I really liked it from seeing the kit and it was oh so easy to make! It was too hot to think about designing something or even copying something, too hot to be hopping up and down for supplies. The Paper Pumpkin kit made it easy. I didn’t have to think about what to make, I liked what I was making, and everything I needed was right there in the box except for scissors to cut the ribbon. The cards and gift boxes went together quickly. When I was finished with that kit, I moved on another kit I hadn’t worked on yet. Again, it was cute, easy to make, and everything was right there.  No need to get sweaty making a card!

Paper Pumpkin Kits Power Off

To wind up my power outage story, we went out for dinner to cool off and went somewhere where I could sit by an electric plug to recharge my laptop. That was all great and while we were gone it rained at home so maybe it cooled off a bit. As we sat here in the dark in the evening, and the latest repair estimate of 9 pm came and went, we decided maybe it was time to head to a hotel for the night.  Good news!  As we began throwing a few things into a suitcase, in the dark with flashlights, the power came back on!!! Perfect timing, and saved us at least $100 to stay cool for the night. The power was off for 13 hours, but we survived.

My Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Kits really came in handy yesterday to keep me occupied during a stressful time (and who doesn’t have stressful times even with the power on?!) and gave me a sense of accomplishment knowing I got something done even without electricity! Stamping is something we can do even without power. And maybe it’s a good idea to keep at least one Paper Pumpkin kit on the shelf for just such an occasion when you need it!

You’re in luck right now because a monthly Paper Pumpkin subscription is 50% off for the first two months if you sign up by September 10th!

If you’re a mom and you just sent your kids back to school or will soon, go ahead and get Paper Pumpkin for yourself!  You deserve it! No risk, no obligation.  Pause your subscription any month or cancel if you must. Order extra kits for a gift any month! Have some fun with your friends!

Catching Up With My July Paper Pumpkin Kit

July 2015 Paper Pumpkin

My July Paper Pumpkin Kit came while we were on vacation so I’m still playing catch up.  But sometimes you just have to stop “life” and sit down and stamp! And an easy way to do that is to just open up a Paper Pumpkin Kit because the decisions are all made for you! The project is decided, the materials are all there, cut and ready to go. Mostly I just needed to fold the card base, adhere the gray designer paper, adhere the colored sticker strips to the bottom of the “notepaper” piece, stamp the cups and plants, adhere everything and slide on the paper clip and bow!  And the bow came already tied on the paper clip!

I had planned to make some of the cards as they were designed and then make some alternate ideas, but in the end I just made all of them! Really cute cards, I think, and I mostly made the thank you cards because I need some of those. I have a few extra cups left over and I might eventually make something else with them. The envelopes are cute that come in the kit.  You just fold and use the adhesive strips provided in the kit to stick the sides together.

And now I still have the cute stamps in the kit to use again and the ink spots! Two colors came in this kit!

If you would like to have a Paper Pumpkin Kit coming to you in the mail each month, take advantage of the special offer from Stampin’ Up! for your first two months 50% off!  This is for new subscribers only to try out Paper Pumpkin. No risk, no obligation if Paper Pumpkin isn’t for you. Use the Promo Code HALFOFF to get your special price.

This offer is good until September 10, but if you sign up by August 10th you will receive the August Paper Pumpkin Kit. After August 10th your first kit will be in mid-September, which is fine too! Whatever works for you!  Once you are a subscriber, if any past kits or refills are still available that interest you, you can purchase those, so if you missed out on something you liked, you can go back and get them.

Don’t Miss Out on the August Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Watch the video above to get an idea of what Paper Pumpkin is like. What is shown is the July kit so yours will be different, if you subscribe!  Take advantage of the special half- price offer from Paper Pumpkin!

Paper Pumpkin is the creative papercrafting kit that comes to you in the mail once a month in a nice red box from Stampin’ Up!  Everything you need for that project (it’s always a fun surprise!) is included except maybe some adhesive. Directions are included and there is a video you can watch online if you like (like the one above). Once you are a subscriber, you can even purchase past kits or refills if you have to have something you missed (while supplies last)!

But even better than Paper Pumpkin once a month, is Paper Pumpkin half price for two months (for new subscribers only) to try it out! Just use the Promo Code HALFOFF. No risk, no obligation! If Paper Pumpkin is not for you, simply go into your account and cancel. Want to skip a month?  No problem, just go in and “Pause” your subscription for a month or two whenever you like.

After the two months, subscriptions will continue at the regular price of $19.95/month which includes shipping.

New subscribers receive a clear block with your first kit, so you will be all ready to stamp! Stamps and a small ink “spot” are included in each kit. Perfect for the beginning stamper or even the never-tried-it-before stamper! Fun for the experienced stamper, too, because we always like a new project to do and new ideas! Follow the directions or use your own ideas with the materials. There are almost always extra supplies left over after you complete the project that you can use for future papercrafting.

Order a kit (or an extra one) for your friend, your mother, your niece, nephew, grandchild, neighbor, college student, roommate. Even children can enjoy making these kits and think of the special memories you will create if you sit down with them to make something fun!

I haven’t seen the August Paper Pumpkin kit but those who saw it at Convention say it is cute! Of course that is always a personal opinion, but if it is true, I would hate for you to miss out on a really good Paper Pumpkin Kit. In order to get the August kit, you need to sign up by August 10. The special half-price offer is good through September 10th, but if you want to start with the August kit, sign up by Monday, August 10th. After August 10th, the first kit you receive will be the September kit and then the October kit. Either way, it is all good!

June Paper Pumpkin Card From a Friend

June Paper Pumpkin Card

Today we got a pile of mail, maybe they have been hoarding it at the post office! You may recognize this as a Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin card from the June 2015 kit.  Can you imagine how pleased I was to find a personal card in the stack and not just bills and credit card applications and solicitations of all sorts?! This card was from my college friend Sally, who lived across the hall in my dorm. By our fourth year we were roommates in an apartment and have remained in touch all these years. Sally has always been good about sending cards in the mail, but I think she has stepped up her game recently to help keep the post office going! We all need to be doing that because there is nothing like a note from a friend, especially these days when we mostly communicate by email and text messages.

This was her first Paper Pumpkin kit and she said she enjoyed it. Unlike some of us (me!) she said she has already sent out half her cards. I’m sure those recipients enjoyed finding a real card in the mailbox as much as I did!

With Paper Pumpkin you can make the card exactly as suggested by Stampin’ Up! in the directions or you can branch out and do whatever you want with the supplies. Each kit includes a stamp set and Stampin’ Spot for ink.

If you join Paper Pumpkin now through August 10th you will be signed up in time to receive the August kit in the mail. It is always a surprise what papercrafting project we will receive!

Just click HERE to sign up for Paper Pumpkin and see how much fun it is to get that red box in your mail! You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time. Hopefully you will enjoy some crafting time when your kit arrives and feel like you have given yourself a gift!

Give Yourself the Gift of Paper Pumpkin! Why not?!

Paper Pumpkin EscapeIf you are interested in a Stampin’ Up! papercrafting kit that comes to you in the mail once a month, just click here on my Paper Pumpkin page for more information and to join!  Paper Pumpkin would love to have you, and if you join by tomorrow your first kit will go out in another week! Join by July 10th!

Your first kit comes with a clear block to use with the included stamps.  You also receive an ink spot to use in the kit and sometimes even adhesive. Each month the kit is a surprise so it is not always cards, for better or worse. We have also had kits that made gift bags, albums, a framed picture, and other projects. Each kit comes with instructions and a link to a video to see how to assemble the kit. After that you are free to do what you want with the kit! Make everything exactly how Stampin’ Up! shows you or put your own spin on it and use extra materials if you like. Whatever you want to do! After a few days of everyone getting their kits, there will most likely be alternate ideas online that you can copy if you want.

No risk, no obligation.  Try it for a month and if it doesn’t suit you, just cancel.  Too busy or going on vacation?  Just “pause” your subscription that month. You can go into your account any time and set it how it works for you. Just let them know by the 10th of any month if you want to “pause” or “cancel”. That’s why I suggest you sign up today because everyone signed up by July 10th will receive the July kit that goes out around the 15th.

Once you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can go check out the past kits and whichever ones are available you can purchase along with your regular Stampin’ Up! order.

Paper Pumpkin kits make great gifts as well!  Order more than one and gift one or sit down with your friend or loved one and make your kits together!

If you go to www.paperpumpkin.com please choose me as your Demonstrator or just click HERE to go directly to my personal Paper Pumpkin page.

OR if you prefer, if you are placing a Stampin’ Up! order and want to add to it, just order the prepaid Paper Pumpkin Subscriptions for any length you prefer. Order a subscription for a gift and you will get an email from Stampin’ Up! with a code to pass on to the gift recipient for them to use to activate their account.

New Stampin' Up! Products 2015

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I was able to preorder some of the new products in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog 2015, but then I needed some more catalogs for customers and to have on hand so why not order a few more Stampin’ Up! products as long as the catalogs are coming?!

The Layered Letters Alphabet was something I saw online when Stampin’ Up! streamed a preview of the new catalog from the South Pacific event. I thought it was so cute, yet I didn’t put it on my order right away.  But then I did! I think there will be lots of things to do with it!

The stamp set that looks like lined paper is called Writing Notes and is a large background stamp. I should have ordered it in wood-mount because I think it is easier to use background stamps already mounted on wood. But you have your choice, wood- or clear-mount. Of course it is good to use for journaling in traditional scrapbooking or Project Life, but I think there will be other cute things to use it for, like a background on a card or something. We’ll see what everyone comes up with!

One popular item for sure is going to be the Tin of Cards, which is displayed on the front cover of the Stampin’ Up! Catalog. The tin is so cute in itself and comes with enough materials inside to make 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs. Of course you can make whatever designs you want if you like to change things up so that you have 16 unique cards. Either way you are being creative! The Tin of Cards Photopolymer Stamp Set is separate but has great greetings to use with the kit and just with any stamping.  Get a few friends together to each order a tin and perhaps the stamp set also and then get together to make all your cards! Or if you are local to me, we can plan something with everyone ordering the Tin of Cards and I will bring the greeting stamp set!

I also stocked up on some black and white ribbon, the 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon, which comes in five colors! And some of the new Gold Metallic Thread for a little pizzazz!  There are also new Metallic Foil Doilies in gold and silver, plus a new accent called White Perfect Accents. Not exactly sure what all you can do with them yet, but they can be colored with Sharpie Markers to match your project. And then there is the new embossing folder, Brick Wall which will be interesting to play with! It’s the new larger size. Oh, and I almost forgot the new Tear & Tape Adhesive which I can’t wait to try! Supposed to be easy to use and have a strong hold for our 3D projects!
