Quatrefancy Hello Lovely Panel Card

Quatrefancy Hello Lovely Panel Card

Time is really getting short on retired Stampin’ Up! products, so I thought I would use some of my Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Hello, Lovely Stamp SetI have to admit, I haven’t been crazy about this pack of paper, but if I looked more at each paper individually, maybe it wasn’t too bad!  On this card, I just cut some 3/4″ strips of paper from scraps in the package and staggered them a little on this card front. Although I tried to center the center strip, I got it off a little bit which made the strips too far over to the right.  Since there “are no mistakes in stamping!” I decided to fix it by covering the extra wide margin on the left with some of the Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon (my favorite ribbon for a long time!). I stamped the greeting in Island Indigo ink and layered on pieces of Strawberry Slush and Pool Party card stock. Kind of a fun design to show off the papers in the Quatrefancy pack.

So much happening at Stampin’ Up!

New Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals May 13 2014

Stampin' Up! Weekly Deal May 13 2014

Here are the new Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals for the week of May 13 – 19, 2014. Remember, these deals are only available through Monday night next week.

One thing I would recommend would be purchasing the Project Life Corner Punch rather than the one on sale this week. The rounding is slightly different and I think you should have the latest thing that might work best for you.  The Project Life cards come with square corners that you CAN round if you want to – or leave as is!

You might LIKE to get the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags because you can use those with Project Life or just to add to cards or other projects! Of course you also can see designer paper on the deals plus Big Shot dies and an embossing folder!?!

Just announced this morning, but probably won’t last long!  Stampin’ Up! has a LIMITED QUANTITY of 2012-14 In Color card stock available only while supplies last, which I bet won’t be long!  If you want some, GET IT right away! Just go to my Online Store HERE.

Project Life Everyday Adventure Traditional Scrapbook Page

Project Life Everyday Adventure Traditional Scrapbook Page

One of the things I love already about Project Life by Stampin’ Up! are the many ways you can use the materials, for example in this traditional scrapbook page with the Everyday Adventure products. The simplicity of the basic concept of Project Life is using the Photo Pocket Pages to easily slip in photos and the cards for journaling or embellishing. But if you prefer making traditional scrapbook page layouts, you still can do it and use the Project Life cards and accessories. You’re only limited by your own imagination and creativity! And that comes much easier when you have those Project Life products to hold right in your hands for inspiration!

You can find any of these early release Project Life products in my Stampin’ Up! Online Store! More will be in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog – coming soon!!! Contact me if you are interested in Stampin’ Up!’s many product offerings and would like a copy of the catalog.

It’s National Scrapbooking Day 2014! Get Your Stampin’ Up! Project Life Products!

Project Life Everyday Adventure Card Collection

Today, May 3, 2014 is National Scrapbooking Day, so what a great time to start thinking about incorporating Project Life into your scrapbooking, if you haven’t already. And if you have heard of Project Life with Becky Higgins or have been using Project Life, now’s the time to incorporate the special sets and products offered by Stampin’ Up! using Stampin’ Up! colors and designs! There will be a selection of new Project Life offerings in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog out June 2, 1014 BUT you can get in on the pre-order RIGHT NOW at my Stampin’ Up! Online Store with the Everyday Adventure Card Collection and the Accessory Pack, plus several other Project Life product such as the Project Life Corner Rounder Punchthe Cards & Labels Project Life Framelits Dies, the Variety Pack 12″ X 12″ Project Life Photo Pocket Pages and even MORE!

The only hard part for me is to choose some current photos on my computer to get printed so they can be USED or to start with older photos in the boxes in my craft room (which, I’m sure you can understand, might require some rearranging of “stuff” and stepping over some valuable excess craft items in order to reach those boxes of photos!).

Just LOOK at the variety of cards you get in the photo above in the Everyday Adventures Project Life Card Collection to use for decoration, embellishment, and journaling (or whatever you want!).

Project Life Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack

And the photo above shows all the cool stuff you get in the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory PackIt looks really fun but might be hard for us “papercrafting hoarders” to actually USE these fun things – stickers, die-cuts, washi tape, wooden embellishments, acetate page, etc. But we must!  We can always order more!

To view and to order the new Stampin’ Up! Project Life offeringsavailable RIGHT NOW (you don’t have to wait for the new catalog!), just go to my Stampin’ Up! Online Store HERE or email me if you would like me to put in an order for you. Digital downloads are also available!

Stampin Up! Weekly Deal March 25 2014

Check out the latest Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals for this week, March 25 through March 31! If you like shimmer and glimmer, this is the week for you!  Both the Champagne Glimmer Paper and Silver Glimmer Paper are on sale! These are some of my favorite Stampin’ Up! products! The glimmer of the beautiful sparkly paper often adds so much to your project!  We have all loved it ever since Stampin’ Up! started carrying the glimmer paper!  You can even “watercolor” with reinker on the Silver Glimmer Paper to make it a different color if you like that! Be sure to stock up if you like some pizzazz to your cards and projects while you can save a little bit of money! Check out all the other offerings as well!

Remember, they all count toward Sale-A-Bration, which will be over before we know it!  Sale-A-Bration is Stampin’ Up!’s biggest promotion and ends March 31!  That is next Monday, last day! Last day to spend $50 and choose a free product from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure!  Remember, your original purchase doesn’t have to come from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  There are suggested Bundles in there if you need suggestions to get to $50 (perhaps for a beginner) but you can purchase any current Stampin’ Up! products and then choose your FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Who doesn’t want free stuff?

Shop at my Stampin’ Up! Online Store any time for the best in papercrafting products, take advantage of these Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals, and with a $50 purchase earn a free product during Sale-A-Bration this week!

Let’s Get Digital with My Digital Studio During Sale-A-Bration

Let's Get Digital Bundle

Don’t forget about the My Digital Studio products during Sale-A-Bration! My Digital Studio is the digital papercrafting software from Stampin’ Up! You can make way more than just scrapbook pages digitally. This is the Let’s Get Digital Bundle offered in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure as a suggestion to get to the $50 price point to earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration product. After purchasing this, or any other current Stampin’ Up! products or My Digital Studio products, you can choose a FREE Digital Ensemble during Sale-A-Bration (more stuff to play with on My Digital Studio!) or any other free product in the brochure.

Here is a video that gives you an inside peek at making a card in My Digital Studio. One of the things you will see is recoloring a stamp, one of the newer features! Closer to the beginning of the video you will see a color put behind a see-through word in order to change the background color. You can send layers forward and backward to achieve what you want. The best way to learn My Digital Studio is to get in there and play! It’s all pretty intuitive and you will learn it all in no time!

You can try My Digital Studio free for 30 days, although at a price of only $19.95 I feel confident you will like it when you try it and you should just go ahead and purchase the MDS software, either as a download (recommended) or the disc. Let me know if you have any questions.

Save Money on Stampin’ Up! Products

Stampin' Up! Weekly Deal Feb 25 2014

Save a little money on some Stampin’ Up! products this week in the new Weekly Deal! Every Tuesday Stampin’ Up! has been offering several products at a discount.  This special is good until the following Monday night.  Add these items to your order and when you reach $50 you can ALSO take advantage of Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration and choose a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure!

Here are some tips for these products!

  • The Backyard Basics Framelits Dies coordinate, of course, with the Backyard Basics Stamp Set, available in wood- or clear-mount. There is also a Bundle, too, if you prefer which includes the stamp set and framelits.
  • You might like to use Clear Embossing Powder with the Gold Metallic Encore Pad. You can use the ink without being embossed but if you touch the stamped image you might get a dab of ink on your finger, although the image itself doesn’t smear.
  • The Paper Doily Sizzlits Die is beautiful but a little more labor intensive, sometimes. Sometimes it depends on the amount of pressure exerted in your own Big Shot. It may help to place a piece of wax paper on the die and then the card stock which helps the pieces come out. Or just use your Paper Piercing Tool or something sharp to poke out the little pieces. But sometimes they don’t even all have to be poked out because sometimes/usually you are covering part of the doily with some other element. But it is a beautiful die and can add a lot to your project!

Super Bowl Scrapbook Page Idea

Super Bowl 2014 Scrapbook Page

Today is Super Bowl Sunday! Perhaps you are having a party or going to a party. Wouldn’t it be great to take some photos of your friends and put them on a scrapbook page to remember the day?  This scrapbook page was made easily in My Digital Studio, the digital papercrafting design software from Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio is about way more than making scrapbook pages, though. You could have designed matching party invitations, table decorations, banners for house decorations, and more! The best way to learn to use My Digital Studio is just to get in the program and play. You can start with pre-designed pages or projects and just add your photos, or change the color of the paper but keep the design.

You can try My Digital Studio FREE for 30 days if you like.  But at a price of only $19.95 for the full program, why not just purchase My Digital Studio from the start and you are ready to go with the software and TONS of content! I recommend the download so you have immediate access and can always access it rather than keeping track of the disc.

See Stampin’ Up!’s Donation to the Today Show Toy Drive 2013

Two days ago I happened to change the TV channel to NBC and the end of the Today Show was on and here was Sara Douglass, daughter of Shelli Gardner, Founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!  Every year Stampin’ Up! donates to the Today Show Toy Drive.  Sara says in the video that the company is donating $650,000 in papercrafting products to the Toy Drive!  This year, though, Stampin’ Up! didn’t tell us in advance that they would be on the show so it came as a complete surprise!  Shelli wasn’t there herself as she is still recuperating from her horse accident a few months ago (quite well, I believe!) and Sara has had experience doing it in the past anyway. It’s great to know Stampin’ Up! is making such a generous donation and getting national exposure to the company. And I love the scrapbook pages Sara is holding up!  Sara always does great presentations on stage at Convention and she does a good job in her television appearance as well representing Stampin’ Up!
