Framed Florets Pale Papaya Birthday Card

Framed Florets Pale Papaya Birthday Card

This Framed Florets Pale Papaya Birthday Card uses retiring stamps, dies, and colors. Gotta eke out all the uses I can before these lovely things retire and we move on to all the exciting new things! I really wish this stamp set and dies were staying.

The card base is Soft Succulent, one of the outgoing In Colors of 2021-2023. Then I have a layer of Pale Papaya, another outgoing In Color in that group. That layer is cut with the die in the Framed Florets Dies (I think they are sold out.) I also diecut a Basic White oval to put in the center with the greeting stamped in Soft Succulent Ink with the Framed Florets Stamp Set. I love that particular greeting and font.

The flowers are all stamped in Memento Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Then they were die cut as were some foliage to add behind the flowers. I used Soft Succulent cardstock and some Fresh Freesia for the single leaves.

I added some 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds for a bit of sparkle. These are retiring along with their In Colors and are discounted a little. So if you like collecting embellishments, get these pretty dots! You could use them with lots of subtle colors.

Dainty Flowers Fresh Freesia Cards

Dainty Designs Fresh Freesia Cards

Today these Dainty Flowers Fresh Freesia Cards are basically two cards for the price of one! By that, I mean that I actually planned to make the bottom card you see above, but as I laid down that floral design on the Fresh Freesia card base, I loved the way the full piece of designer paper with that floral pattern looked so I thought I would make that card, too! Besides, both cards are super easy to make!

The Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper is one of the most popular items to choose from when you earn a free Sale-A-Bration product with a $50 purchase! But when we think of that paper, we think of the designs with more multicolored floral patterns, especially the ones you can cut apart and easily make cards, such as the oval design. For these cards, I chose one of the less popular paper patterns with purplish flowers.

Both cards use Fresh Freesia cardstock for the card bases. I cut the designer paper on the top card at the usual 5 1/4″ x 4″. I thought I would cut a portion off the bottom so I could overlap the polka dot patterned paper as I did on the bottom card. But just placing that piece of designer paper on the Fresh Freesia cardstock, I really couldn’t do anything except use it as it was! So easy! I adhered a piece of Fresh Freesia 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon across the bottom portion, adhered on the back, and then adhered the whole piece to the card base. Then I tied a separate bow and adhered it to the ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.

For the bottom card, I stuck with my original idea. The top designer paper is 5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ and the polka dot paper is 5 1/4″ x 1 3/4″. I like the two papers to overlap a bit so I can adhere them together where they overlap, then cover the seam with a ribbon or strip of cardstock. For this card, I used the White 3/4″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon. This ribbon is so pretty anyway, but the little iridescent pink glitter in it perfectly matches this card! I tied a separate bow and adhered it to the card with Mini Glue Dots.

The top card uses a birthday greeting in the Framed Florets Stamp Set. It is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink and then diecut with the stitched circle die in the Stylish Shapes Dies. I also added a scalloped circle die in Fresh Freesia cardstock for a layer behind the greeting from the Layering Circles Dies. For a little sparkle, I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, one on the birthday greeting and two in the upper corner of the card.

On the second card, I stamped another greeting also in the Framed Florets Stamp Set and die cut with a label shape in the All That Dies. This time I used my Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend marker to color three of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels and just added them at the bottom of the greeting. This greeting is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

So there you have two card ideas, very easy ones to make at that, using the purple floral paper in the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper!

Remember, for every $50 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products, you earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration product in the special brochure! And lots of people are choosing the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper so if you are interested, don’t wait too long to order!

Framed Florets Silver Frame Birthday Card

Framed Florets Silver Frame Birthday Card

The more I work with the new Fitting Florets Collection, the more I love it! You can do so much with the pretty designer paper, the more subtle patterns like this card front, and the florals to use as accents and embellishments.

This card starts with a card base of Balmy Blue to match the pretty designer paper in the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper. I used the Framed Florets Dies to cut out this beautiful oval frame from the silver foil paper in the Silver Foil Specialty Pack. Then I cut the same oval frame with Basic White cardstock so I could have the center of the oval be white. The center white oval is stamped with a birthday greeting from the Framed Florets Stamp Set in Balmy Blue ink.

You can purchase the Framed Florets Dies and the Framed Florets Stamp Set separately, or you can buy them together in the Framed Florets Bundle and save 10%. Do you notice something in that sentence?? From this Spring Catalog forward, Stampin’ Up! will give the stamps, dies, and bundle all the same name!! Now we won’t have to try to remember the different name of the dies that went with a certain stamp set and was the bundle name the same or different??

Did you know that the flowers you see in the lower right corner of the oval frame can be die-cut from the designer paper?! I fussy cut another extra flower to pop up on top of the diecut, but it is nice that one grouping of flowers at least can be diecut!

The group of flowers on the top left of the silver frame were fussy-cut from the designer paper and even altered a bit to fit in that spot and not interfere with the stamped greeting. Plus one extra flower popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals for some more texture.

For just a little more pizzazz, I added three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels on the center oval.

You could make this same card with many other greetings in that center oval. I think that is why florals are so popular because they are so useful. You can use them for birthdays, sympathy cards, or just any card that you want to be beautiful for a special person and reason.

While this Framed Florets Bundle will continue to be available in the January – July 2023 Mini Catalog (the Spring Mini), from now until January 4, 2023 (or while supplies last) is the only time you can purchase the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper and the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls. There is also the Christmas greeting stamp set included in the Collection, Framed & Festive, that is also only available now until Jan. 4th. If you need a Christmas greeting stamp set, I recommend this one!

For this card, I used a card base of Blushing Bride. I diecut one of the frames, plus certain flower groups on the DSP can be diecut with one of the dies. The rest you have to fussy cut! The bottom pink flowers on the frame are all die-cut. The one above the greeting is fussy cut. The greeting is in the Framed Florets Stamp Set. I die-cut it with a banner die in the Stylish Shapes Dies. I also added a few Iridescent Ice Rhinestones.

The Framed and Festive Stamp Set has Christmas greetings. Unfortunately, it is not pictured here. Here’s an interesting feature! The Bundle, the Stamp Set, and the Dies are ALL named the same – Framed Florets Bundle, Framed Florets Stamp Set, and Framed Florets Dies! You won’t have to remember the name of the dies which is different from the stamp set and different from the Bundle name! They are the same!

So there is your sneak peek at this upcoming Collection for November! Always fun to have something new!
