Frames & Flowers Grateful For You Card

Frames & Flowers Grateful For You Card

I think this Frames & Flowers Grateful For You Card is one of those cards that you could use for a Thanksgiving card, or any time, really. The card has fallish colors, somewhat colored leaves, and an appropriate greeting for the season of gratitude and thanksgiving.

The card base is Garden Green with a layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to bring out the orange colors in the leaves and to make the whole card look like it is made for fall. The layer on top of the Pumpkin Pie is a frame in the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper. The center just punched out of the frame. I chose to put a small piece of Basic White cardstock behind the frame. Then I chose a flower in the ephemera pieces that would look good in the cneter of that open frame. It is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting is in the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set. I think it can go for a regular card or this Thanksgiving card. It is stamped in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. I cut it out with one of the Nested Essentials Dies. I then cut out another piece the same size in Garden Green and cut it in half horizontally and adhered the two pieces to the top and bottom of the stamped greeting. I adhered it flat to the card in case I wanted to put a gem that would stick up very much on the ends of the greeting.

For the embellishment, I chose some sequins in the Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins. These sequins come in Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Melon Mambo, and Pumpkin Pie colors. I used two Pumpkin Pie Sequins on the ends of the greeting and three Lemon Lime Twist sequins up by the flower.

When you want to make a card and have fun, use this Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper or any of the ephemera packs that Stampin’ Up! now sells! The Frames & Flowers should be back in stock next week.

Frames & Flowers Marvelous Card

Frames & Flowers Marvelous Card

This Frames & Flowers Marvelous Card was a fun and easy card to make. with just two diecut pieces. Mainly what you need is just the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper is unique because in the package you get three sheets of regular designer paper with floral and greenery designs on one side and a generic design on the other side. You also get three sheets of diecut greenery elements, like ephemera, that you can use on your card or project. It’s fun to play with all these pieces and build your card design.

For this card, I started with a Lost Lagoon card base. The designer paper layer is just one of the designs I picked out from the Frames & Flowers package. This piece happened to already be cut to this size, and I liked it showing off a bit more of a margin of the Lost Lagoon.

The two circles are diecut using the Spotlight On Nature Dies. These circular dies all have a design of some kind around the perimeter. I cut the larger one out of Lost Lagoon and the inner out of Basic White. Before adhering together, I stamped a greeting on the Basic White circle with Lost Lagoon ink. This greeting is in the Perennial Lavender Stamp Set, which I didn’t notice is retired. But you will have other greetings that you can use for any occasion.

After I had the basic card design made, I played with the diecut pieces in the Frames & Flowers Designer Paper. This is one of the fun parts! Ultimately, I chose two colorful foliage pieces and added an orange flower. I glued everything on flat on the card although I could have popped up the circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals or the foliage and flower. Do whatever you like. For some embellishment, I added three Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems in the 3-pack.

The Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper is backordered right now as I write this but is due back in stock the week of August 5th. It was very popular because it was something new and different with the included diecuts! Maybe you already have it so maybe this card will give you another idea! And if you don’t have it, keep an eye out for when it is back in stock for some fun cardmaking!

Frames & Flowers Floral Diecut Card

Frames & Flowers Floral Diecut Card

This Frames & Flowers Floral Diecut Card was so fun and easy to make! All you need is the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper with its sheets of designer paper but also sheets of diecuts of flowers and foliage.

I started with the frame that has a diamond shape cut out from the center. I chose Soft Sea Foam green to be the card base so the soft green would be in the background in the center. Then I could add the diecut flower bouquet in the center. As it turned out, the frame piece was narrower and I thought a Pumpkin Pie layer underneath it to bring out the orange flowers would be pretty. But then I wouldn’t have the Soft Sea Foam center!

I ended up cutting the center out of the Pumpkin Pie cardstock that was cut like a normal card layer at 51/4″ x 4″ leaving just a 1/4″ border around the edge. That would look like a layer underneath the pretty diecut but not cover the center Soft Sea Foam green area. You can see the photo below how I did it.

Frames & Flowers Diecut Floral Card Assembly

The floral frame is adhered flat to the card base over the Pumpkin Pie border. The bouquet of flowers is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, both the regular size and a few Minis. I even cut a couple of the Minis in half to fit under the ends of the leaves.

For the greeting, I chose one in the Saying Something Ephemera Pack. The color matched the card! I flagged each end of the greeting in the tiny space and put a Stampin’ Dimensional under each end so it would fit over the popped up flower bouquet. For a little embellishment I used a few of the Adhesive-Backed Sequin Trio white sequins.

Frames & Flowers So Happy For You Card

Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper Diecut So Happy For You Card

This is another card made with one of the papers in the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Frames & Flowers So Happy For You Card. This card is easy to make, especially with the help of one of the new Ephemera Packs.

The card base is Calypso Coral although Pumpkin Pie is the coordinating color with the paper. But this looks fine and matches the paper and the flowers. The layer of designer paper on the card is “the other side” of one of the foliage patterns. The Frames & Flowers Paper is extra-special because besides three double-sided sheets of designer paper, you also get several sheets of punch-out diecuts of all kinds of foliage, flowers, and frames! So many pieces to play with and design a lovely card, scrapbook page, or other project!

For this card, I diecut a large circle in the Spotlight on Nature Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. This is a great set of dies with lots of different sizes of circles and all have an interesting border around them. If you would like the Bundle, you get the dies and the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set and save 10%. The stamp set has very soft and pretty sketches of flowers, a stem of leaves, and a butterfly that you can use on many projects. This is one of the products that I suggest even if you don’t want the stamp set, get the dies because you. will use them a lot.

The little bouquet of flowers in the center couldn’t be easier! They are one of the diecuts in the Frames & Flowers Designer Paper and there are many to choose from! I simply punched that out of the paper and adhered it to the Spotlight On Nature diecut. I popped up the diecut circle on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ribbon is one of the very pretty new ones in the Annual Catalog. It is called the Iridescent 1/2″ Striped Trim. It’s a very pretty sheer sparkly ribbon on the edges and on the middle stripes. It will beautify lots of cards and projects in the future! I tied the bow and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot. I also added three little Iridescent Faceted Gems.

The greeting is one of the many diecuts in the Saying Something Ephemera Pack. We have four ephemera packs to choose from, one of the new and different products in the new Annual Catalog. This one has lots of greetings to use on projects of all kinds. I glued it down flat at the bottom of the card.

In yesterday’s post, I made a card using the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper but it has a whole different look than today’s card. That shows how versatile this fun pack of paper and diecuts can be! Be sure to check it out.
