Full of Love Note Cards

We often forget about making note cards, but it’s a good idea to have some on hand for when you want just a quick note to send someone, like these Full of Love Note Cards. I chose to use this easy stamp set and greetings to stamp on the Stampin’ Up! Note Cards & Envelopes. So handy to have!

Since I wanted to be able to color the images with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and they bleed through the paper a bit, I stamped the images on Basic White cardstock and made them as a layer on the notecard. You can purchase the Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes in a package so they are ready to go! With 20 cards and 20 envelopes in the package, they are a good price. They can also be purchased in Very Vanilla and Kraft. The folded note card is 3 1/2″ x 5″ so I cut the cardstock I was going to stamp on at 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.

The stamp set I chose is Full of Love and is an easy stamp set to use. No extra expense needed for dies you can’t resist! Just stamp! If you didn’t want to color in, you could just stamp in a color and have them be monochromatic. I colored in with various Stampin’ Blends because I love to use those! Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to soften would be perfect to and could be done without an extra layer. There are good sentiments in the stamp set to fit lots of occasions or you could use one from another stamp set.

Here is another note card I made a couple years ago, much the same way as these and even added an extra colored layer plus decorated the envelope flap with a piece of designer paper!

With this stamp set, you could even stamp the image and cut it into a rectangle or square using either the Paper Trimmer or dies, then mount it to the note card with a colored cardstock or designed paper layer underneath. Make them as simple or fancy as you want!

Just remember, everyone appreciates some “real” mail these days instead of constant junk mail and the people you know would love to hear from you! For a quick note, just pull out a note card and stamp it or have some already made up to send at a moment’s notice. When someone pops into your mind, or you need a quick thank you or even birthday card, just send a note card and get it done right away. You know you will make someone’s day when they find your card in their mailbox!

Full of Love Fall Card

Full of Love Fall Card

I just recently ordered this stamp set because I kept seeing some nice, simple cards with this envelope and flowers. It reminds me of the “simpler” stamp sets we mostly used to have before dies and fancier images!

This is the Full of Love Stamp Set. It’s very simple with just two envelope images with flowers, a couple of extra little flowers, and some nice greetings that are perfect for loved ones or friends. Sometimes just simple is nice!

This card base is Crushed Curry cardstock since it is fall. Of course, you can easily make this card for spring or summer just by changing the colors. I stamped the envelope and flowers with Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. Then I die cut the image with the largest square die in the Stylish Shapes Dies.

You can use any coloring technique you prefer. I used Stampin’ Blends. My flowers were yellow, orange, and pink. But I wanted the big yellow flower to have just a touch of orange. If you don’t pay attention to what you are doing, you can grab the wrong marker and I was coloring the yellow flower with Cajun Craze instead of a light orange! The big flower was originally colored with Daffodil Delight, the orange flowers with Pumpkin Pie, and the pink flowers with a base of Natural Tones 1000 and a tiny bit of highlight of Flirty Flamingo. Believe it or not, you can use the Natural tones markers for things other than animals or skin tones! There was this nice pinkish shade and of course lots of shades of brown. I probably should have added a little shading to the envelope but I forgot.

Since there is no larger square die, I just cut an Old Olive square layer and then a larger square of Pumpkin Pie. The greeting is in the Full of Love Stamp Set and is stamped in Old Olive ink and die cut with one of the banner dies in the Stylish Shapes Dies.

After laying out the pieces of my card, the background looked a little plain so I decided to stamp the little group of three tiny flower shapes in Crushed Curry randomly on the card. Then I adhered all the layers and the greeting. I added a double-strand of Linen Thread tied in a bow and adhered with a Glue Dot to the bottom of the greeting since there was a little extra space there. I also added some Iridescent Pearls around the stamped envelope and flowers.

This is a good stamp set to have on hand when you want to do a little simple coloring and stamping. This set is also good to use on the Basic White Notecards and Envelopes. Those are great to have on hand when you want to write just a short note or message and just want some simple stamping to decorate the card.
