Paper Pumpkin Gifts Galore Kit Snowman in Window

I admit to almost completely copying this Paper Pumpkin Gifts Galore Kit Snowman In Window card from someone on Pinterest, Bonnie Friday. I don’t know if she was the original person or not, but this was a card I saw “somewhere” online and then could not find it ANYWHERE later when I wanted it – until I found hers on Pinterest finally. The first time I saw this card, I believe the creator said she wondered if it looked a little “creepy” with the large snowman head peering in the window at the Christmas tree! Then there were more comments agreeing or disagreeing or laughing about that idea! That really caught my eye and made me giggle because I knew the perfect person to send a “creepy” Christmas card to just for fun!

This card is made from the contents of the November 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Gifts Galore. This kit, in my opinion, is one of the best Paper Pumpkin kits! It contained very large die-cut images of this snowman, a Christmas tree, and packages. The design plan was to use two of the same images, front and back, on a small open box that would hold some kind of treats. Here is my post of the first treat holders I made as designed.

As always, stampers come up with alternative ideas for the materials in their kit. If they don’t need treat holders, they would rather make cards with the supplies or scrapbook pages or some other projects. And you can do that with your Paper Pumpkin Kit!

This card starts with a Basic White card base and a layer of Basic Black. The Christmas tree is cut a tiny bit more than in half. If you look at this sample, you can figure out where to cut it. I popped it up on Dimensionals and Foam Strips.

The snowman head is trimmed as shown so that it fits behind this “window”. This is a little tricky to figure out (maybe it won’t be for you, though!). I used a piece of Basic White and die cut two stitched rectangles out of it. You just have to make the sides wide enough so you can glue the snowman image behind it. I put a piece of Balmy Blue behind the snowman to look like the sky. Just fiddle with it and you’ll get it. The packages are cut from the piece in the kit. Most are pretty large. In fact, the top package I cut down from a larger package. Then I added a bit of the twine in the kit for a bow just for an embellishment even though there is a printed bow. In my retired stash, I had some stick-on bows and snowflakes so I added those just for fun! You could also add rhinestones or jewels to the tree. Do what you like!

I hope you get a kick out of the creepy snowman card made with the November 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit Gifts Galore! If you still need cards or little projects, maybe you still have some pieces left in your Gifts Galore kit you can use!

Paper Pumpkin Treats and Wheelbarrow

After I got my September Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made all the cute little pumpkin treat boxes, but today I made the wheelbarrow! Isn’t it cute?! Stampin’ Up! has continued to up their game with the Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription kits! Not only do the kits get cuter and cuter, but they often have found special ways to use the box…like cutting it up to make this wheelbarrow!! AND the pattern was already printed inside the box so I only had to cut out the pieces and follow the directions and a video on how to put it together!

This Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin Kit was really a fun one. It was designed to make a dozen treat boxes like you see in my wheelbarrow. However, as I always say, you can do whatever you want with the contents of the kit, and every month other stampers come up with the most creative ideas for alternate projects. Someone made Sesame Street characters out of these pumpkin treat boxes! And some people cut up at least some of the pumpkin boxes, separated all the rounded panels that make one pumpkin, and then adhered a few together on a card to make a flat, large pumpkin. Alternative ideas on the Paper Pumpkin instructions even showed how to make a turkey and a Frankenstein! So in any month almost, if you have no need for treat boxes, you can likely change things up and make cards out of them. If you have a card kit but don’t like the design or don’t need more cards, just check out some alternative ideas or come up with something on your own. Maybe you can make treat boxes out of the card supplies! Or some other fun project! The only limit is your imagination!

Some of the Paper Pumpkin Kit boxes have had the suggestion to reuse to hold your special treasures or to fill with some treats and goodies and give or send to someone who could use a surprise gift to let them know someone was thinking of them.

I have to say my favorite way to re-use a box was to make a haunted house two years ago! Now for this, you actually needed two kits and I think a customer made up the pattern that we all copied. It was definitely easier to make this wheelbarrow with the pieces already outlined and numbered inside the box!

This kit features three different designs for every treat box. That means whether you want to celebrate the Fall harvest or feel like getting in the Halloween mood (or a mix of both!), you can choose how you want to create your adorable treat boxes! Take your pick from crisp red apples, seasonal pumpkins, spooky jack-o-lanterns, or get creative and customize them into whatever you can imagine! 

The Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin Kit contains enough supplies to create 12 treat packages which means you get to share the a-maize-ing treats with your friends and family!
