Paper Pumpkin Flyer March 2020 my info

Paper Pumpkin has been around for seven years now and it just keeps getting better! If you aren’t familiar with Paper Pumpkin, it’s a monthly subscription papercrafting kit from Stampin’ Up! Once you sign up by the 10th of any month, that month’s kit will be mailed to you by mid-month and you will receive a fun craft kit all ready for you to sit down and have some creative fun! And this March kit has a FREE extra stamp set to celebrate its 7th birthday!

And look at the ad above! Do you see the Paper Pumpkin box off to the right with the raincoat and boots?? That’s the BOX! So cute!!

During Sale-A-Bration, you can add a Paper Pumpkin PREPAID subscription to your regular Stampin’ Up! order and perhaps earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration product or even reach Hostess Rewards. Stampin’ Up! will send you an email with a code to use when you set up your Paper Pumpkin account and you will be set. Even if you already subscribe monthly, you can buy a Prepaid subscription on your order, put the code into your account, and your monthly subscription will resume after your Prepaid subscription is used up!

Paper Pumpkin is for everyone, from experienced stampers and crafters to newbies with no supplies! With your first kit, you receive a special Paper Pumpkin acrylic block on which to mount your stamps, and then the kit contains all the materials you need for the project, even including adhesives! You get a stamp set, ink spot, instructions, materials, and even a link to a video to watch online. Anyone can make these kits!

Experienced stampers enjoy getting a kit all ready to go and sometimes even like making alternative projects with some of their own stamping supplies. Whatever you like to do!

Most of the Kits are cards, but can be other projects like a mini-album, home decor piece, holiday favors, tags, bags, calendar, garland….who knows?! Last fall Stampin’ Up! even gave us ideas for turning the BOX into a haunted house! I look at Paper Pumpkin as a fun gift I give myself that I look forward to every month!

Paper Pumpkin kit projects used to be top secret but I think they have found people like at least a little clue to what the kit will be. And to celebrate seven years of Paper Pumpkin, THIS kit comes with an EXTRA FREE STAMP SET!

Easy Valentine Hearts and Ribbon Card

Valentine Hearts and Ribbon

Valentine’s Day is coming up at the end of this week so if you need more valentine ideas, here is an Easy Valentine Hearts and Ribbon Card you can try!

The card base is Real Red with a layer of Whisper White to help the designer paper stand out a little bit. This dotted foil layer is in the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. It really caught my eye when I was making this card!

The next step is to simply punch two hearts from another design of the From My Heart DSP. I chose the paper with the scattered hearts. I thought it stood out well against the foil DSP.

The center heart is punched from the sheet of foil hearts and then layered on a punched scallop heart from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. You can get both these plain-edge heart punch and the scalloped edge heart punch in the Heart Punch Pack. And if you want the Heartfelt Stamp Set, too, you can purchase it with the heart punches and save 10% in the Heartfelt Bundle.

After those two hearts were layered together, I put more adhesive on the back with Snail Adhesive so I could stick the ribbon going back and forth behind the heart. Then it is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals® and centered on the card between the other two hearts.

Even though there is no sentiment on the front of the card, I think it is pretty enough on its own so you can just stamp a greeting inside the card on a Whisper White layer.

Don’t forget! Today is the last day to join Paper Pumpkin and get the February Kit in just a few days! You could also purchase a Prepaid Subscription in the Online Store and just add it to your Stampin’ Up! order! That way it might help you earn a free Sale-A-Bration item or reach Hostess Rewards!

Making Paper Pumpkin Christmas Tags After Christmas!

Paper Pumpkin November 2019 Christmas Tags

It’s okay to make Paper Pumpkin Christmas Tags AFTER Christmas! These are from the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit and I just didn’t get to them before Christmas.

These are cute Christmas tags, which I could have used during gift-wrapping time! At least I’ll have a head start for next Christmas! These turned out so cute when I got them all put together. There were six of each of four designs of tags in the kit. Some people made cards out of the elements in the kit. Once you get the kit, you can do whatever you like with the supplies!

There are always projects I didn’t get to do before Christmas and when things calm down after Christmas it seems like a good time to go ahead and work on them! In some cases, I might even have “late” Christmas gifts that I put off because I won’t see the people until after the holidays anyway! Yes, I have two friends who usually don’t have time for our gift exchange until after the holidays (or even WAY after the holidays!) but we don’t care. It’s all about the getting together, not the timing! So whatever the reason, perhaps you also do Christmas projects after the holidays!

If you would like to get a head-start on a Paper Pumpkin subscription, today is the first day to subscribe for the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit! The first hints are that it is about birthday cards! And we all like to stock up on birthday cards at the beginning of the year! You can even purchase a Prepaid Paper Pumpkin Subscription in the Online Store along with your regular order, perhaps boosting your order to get more FREE Sale-A-Bration items or bump you up to Hostess Rewards. Or just join by the month.

Are you still playing with Christmas projects you didn’t have time to do earlier? Or even getting a head start on Christmas cards for next year? It’s okay and from experience, I can tell you it’s a good idea to make Christmas tags any time of year!

Paper Pumpkin Oct 2019 Christmas Card

Paper Pumpkin Oct 2019 Christmas Card

I hate to tell you that you can’t get this Paper Pumpkin Kit any more because it makes a beautiful Christmas card. I just made this one card exactly like the kit directions but I wanted to try out some other alternate ideas that I will find online or maybe think of myself! The Paper Pumpkin holiday season kits are always extra special!

This photo really doesn’t do this card justice. The evergreen trees you see are on the base card front. Then the snowflakes at the top of that part of the card are stamped with the Night of Navy ink from the snowflake stamp included in the Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Next, the white trees are punched out of the die-cut. They are on white glimmery paper to look like snow. This piece includes the snow base for the bottom with a tree on each side. This piece is adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up. This gives a 3D effect to the front of the card. It is a little tedious to stick on the little dimensionals, some cut in half for the tree branches.

The cute little redbirds are die cuts so all I had to do was punch them out and stick them on with glue dots (included in the kit) onto the tree branches! They really “pop” on this card!

For a little more bling, there are snowflake sequins included to stick on the card background with the mini glue dots. If you have the Take Your Pick Tool it would be handy for picking up the tiny snowflake sequins, but if not, use your Paper Snips.

The greeting is included in the stamp set of the kit and is stamped on the die-cut banner piece. This is popped up and layered on the woodgrain die-cut piece and that is all adhered to the bottom front of the card.

Inside I will stamp another greeting and the card will be ready to go. It also came with silver foil trimmed envelopes! That makes it all look luxurious!

In spite of the fact that no extra kits are available after the October Kits were sent out (that’s how popular it was!), it might give you a glimpse into the November Paper Pumpkin Kit. That kit “coordinates” with this October Kit. I don’t know what that means, exactly, but I’m sure it will be a good kit.

Kit details: Makes 24 holiday-themed gift tags of 4 various sizes and designs.

Coordinating colors: Early Espresso, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, and Shaded Spruce

The October and November kits coordinate; however, each kit is all-inclusive and can stand alone.

  • Supplies may be limited toward the end of each subscription period so don’t delay!

So if you find it enticing to get a cute winter-themed box in your mail in just over a week with a fun project inside making gift tags (if for some reason you don’t need handmade gift tags to make your gifts extra special, just put them on the front of a card instead!). Get an extra kit and have fun stamping with a friend! The deadline to sign up is November 10! Don’t delay!

Playing With a Box: A Paper Pumpkin Haunted House

Paper Pumpkin Haunted House Front

You know how they say little kids have the most fun playing with the box a gift came in? In this case, I had a lot of fun playing with the Paper Pumpkin box to make a Haunted House! I also had a lot of fun making the cute treat boxes in the Paper Pumpkin Kit! The first haunted house idea came from a Stampin’ Up! employee who then did a Facebook Live explaining his tips on making your own haunted house out of the Paper Pumpkin September Kit box. It was a special edition box in Gorgeous Grape instead of the usual red so that really lent itself to making a haunted house!

I followed the same pattern that the Stampin’ Up! employee found online. It needed to be enlarged and then printed and then placed on the opened box. A couple of pieces had to be reversed so that the outside of the box was on the outside of the house. I found a video online of a lady who made the house and showed exactly how she laid out her pieces. However, I wanted the outside of my house to have the pattern going in the correct direction so I laid my main pieces out a little differently. It all worked. You might want to make a practice house out of other cardboard or cardstock to see how it all goes together but I jumped right in!

Paper Pumpkin Haunted House Layout

Be sure to label the pieces as you trace them and cut them out. Use a heavy-duty scissors or utility knife of some kind. Hot glue is recommended for assembling the house. The thing is, since it is a “haunted” house, you don’t have to worry about strings of hot glue or glue that shows or house pieces that aren’t perfectly straight because any pieces that are “off” just make the house look even spookier!

After assembling the house, use whatever embellishments or pieces from the Paper Pumpkin Kit to decorate the outside of the house. I also used images from the Monster Bash Designer Paper. I didn’t decorate the roof of the house because I like the “Paper Pumpkin” showing on the top!

To get the mailing label off the outside of the box, use your heat gun and then peel it off. I don’t think you will get all the adhesive off so just pounce the Embossing Buddy all over it, which will still show the powdery effect but that’s okay because it is a haunted house! And I put that piece on the back of the house anyway!

For the base, just cut a piece of any other cardboard according to the pattern and cover with Mossy Meadow Cardstock if you like. I cut a door in mine but you could also just adhere something to look like a door. I cut out the UPC number from the box, planning to use it as the “address” on the house, but I lost it because it was so small!

This was really fun to make and easier than I thought to assemble. If you don’t have a Paper Pumpkin box, just use other cardboard and decorate. As I write this post, you CAN purchase the same Bone Appetit Kit and refill in the Stampin’ Up! Online Store but you must be a subscriber to access this category. Sign up now for Paper Pumpkin and get the Holiday Kit coming in November and possibly the past October kit for holiday cards!

Here are photos of the other sides of the house!

Have fun turning your Paper Pumpkin box into a haunted house after you make the fun treat boxes that are inside!

It’s time to sign up for Paper Pumpkin and get your August Kit in the mail in just a couple weeks! This kit will be most welcome because it will give us a taste of fall colors! The kit includes 6 gift bags and 12 gift tags. Some Paper Pumpkin subscribers like to have a variety of projects throughout the year, not just cards. Other subscribers only want cards.

Well, this month Stampin’ Up! has solved that problem! If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you will get this August kit with the gift bags and tags AND you have the option to purchase an Add-On Kit to make cards!

  • The Gift of Fall Add-On Bundle is a separate purchase for those who would like to convert their August Paper Pumpkin kit into cards.
  • The Gift of Fall Add-On Bundle card designs offer a great sneak of the designs and elements to come in the August kit.
  • Once you have completed the August kit, you will have extra kit components so you can easily combine them with the add-on without having to purchase additional kits.
  • You will need to purchase the add-on bundle in the Online Store. You will not be able to add it to a Paper Pumpkin subscription purchase.
  • The price for the add-on bundle is $10.00 and is available for Paper Pumpkin subscribers only. This add-on is available beginning August 1, while supplies last!

Watch this video to find out more about the August Paper Pumpkin Kit:

Don’t miss out!  Remember, once you get the kit you can make whatever you want with the materials inside. And every month, alternative ideas are posted online if you want to try something different.  Sometimes I made the project as described and then I might look online and see what else I could do and try one or two of those ideas.

You could use these gift bags for back-to-school teacher gifts or even back-to-school treats for your own kids. Maybe favors for a small party or dinner or make them and save for closer to Halloween.  Cut them up and make cards!

Stampin’ Up! guarantees all kits so there is no risk.  If Paper Pumpkin is not for you, contact Stampin’ Up! (The nicest people take your calls!) Spread Kindness With Paper Pumpkin!

This June Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! makes it easy to spread a little sunshine this summer! If you would like a project that is beach-themed with a fresh, new look, then this kit is for you. The kit makes 16 fun-sized, beach-themed small cards plus comes with envelopes, of course, and an exclusive carrying case so you will have your cards on hand if you would like to pass them out wherever you go.

The idea is much like “random acts of kindness” except with little cards. Maybe your server at the restaurant was particularly nice, maybe a salesperson was especially helpful, maybe a co-worker could use a little happy card, maybe a neighbor would enjoy a plate of cookies and a little card. Just reach in your carrying case and hand out a little card!

Coordinating colors for this project are Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive. I guarantee you that if you do not want to use these cards as designed, other stampers online will be making alternative projects out of the kit! So you will find other ways to use the materials if you would prefer to use them another way.

These cards are too small to be mailable as is. However, you can always put them into a normal size envelope and send the card that way if you want to mail them.

To get this new June Paper Pumpkin Kit, you MUST be subscribed by Monday, June 10th! That is tomorrow! Click the link below to join Paper Pumpkin. (This is my personal link. If you have a Demonstrator you want to sign up under, them go to www.paperpumpkin.com and choose their name.)
