Make this card, the Textured Floral Mother’s Day Card, for someone special to you on Mother’s Day or add a greeting for whatever occasion you need. You can do some stamping and some diecutting and then you can design your card!
I tried to make this card with mainly the new In Colors 2024-2026. I chose Pretty in Pink for the card base with a Basic White cardstock for the layer. I stamped quite a few flowers and leaves from the Textured Floral Stamp Set and then diecut them with the Textured Floral Dies. I wanted to have plenty to choose from when I put the card together.
The large flower is stamped in Pretty in Pink ink, and the smaller flowers in Petunia Pop ink and Peach Pie ink. The leaves are stamped in Shy Shamrock ink. The diecut foliage at the top is cut from Summer Splash Cardstock, just to get that color in!
The greeting is stamped in Pretty in Pink Ink and is in the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set. I didn’t leave much space for a greeting on this card so I had to choose something rather small. Even if you don’t have a “Happy Mother’s Day” greeting, you can use other ones that would still be fitting for your mother, grandmother, aunt, or whoever you are sending a card to. In this case, this “Grateful For You” greeting, appropriate for a mother, was still just a tiny bit too big even after I cut all around it. So I just cut off the “for you” and made it work! Maybe you will plan better than I did, or start with your greeting and fit the flowers around the greeting.
I loved using the new In Color 2024-2026 Shimmer Gems on this card! They are so pretty in color and have that faceted top. I used the Pretty in Pink, the Peach Pie, and the Shy Shamrock colors of gems.
You can use a different floral stamp set and dies to make a card similar to this one. Use what you have because you probably have something, maybe even this former Textured Floral Bundle. In the new catalog, the stamp sets that are returning from previous catalogs appear in the new catalog in the “Encore” section, starting on page 74 and going through page 80.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12 so get your card(s) made and I hope you receive some cards, too!
