This Frames & Flowers Diagonal Wreath Thanks Card was fun to make, using the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is a special designer series paper because it is both designer paper AND die cuts! Lots of diecuts!! There are all kinds of foliage and floral diecuts, even wreaths of different shapes and sizes. That’s why this package is so much fun!
This card has a base of Lost Lagoon, one of the coordinating colors of the Frames & Flowers Designer Paper. Then there is a layer of designer paper on the card base plus a narrower layer of another piece of the designer paper. The floral layer is 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. In the assortment of ephemera in the designer paper, I chose this square diecut wreath. However, I turned it on the diagonal and layered it on a piece of Lost Lagoon. I cut it at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″. First I cut it too large and it barely fit on the card, plus it was covering too much of the foliage design underneath. I think the Lost Lagoon helps the wreath stand out a bit from the background. Plus, it is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Even using the ephemera (die cuts), you can still decorate the card further. I stamped a greeting in the Simply Said Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon ink, right in the center of that wreath. I also added two orange flowers to the bottom of the wreath. There are some little orange flowers printed on the wreath diecut, but there are also separate flower die cuts that you can use. I popped up one flower on Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some Lost Lagoon gems in the Tinsel Gems Three Pack with Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia, and Misty Moonlight for a little more bling.
That’s just how easy this card is to make….and many other cards that you can make! Just make a card base with your choice of color, then add some background designer paper, and finally use the die cuts and a greeting to design your card. Add a little embellishment if you like. It’s really fun to play with with not very much work!
