Unbounded Beauty Just For You Card

Unbounded Beauty Just For You Card

This Unbounded Beauty Just For You Card uses the beautiful Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper on the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper Sale. This paper and select others in the Annual Catalog are discounted by 15% but only for a few more days! This sale ends on Saturday, August 31! This is one of those designer papers that whether you think it looks good or not in the photos is actually prettier in person, in my opinion.

This card begins with a Pretty in Pink card base. Pretty in Pink is one of the new In Colors although you may remember it from years ago if you have been around Stampin’ Up! for awhile. So you may have this cardstock and ink pad in your stash already. The layer in the background is one of the watercolor wash backgrounds.

I had cut out by hand (fussy cutting) one of the floral prints in the Unbounded Beauty Paper. To help it stand out against the background, I die cut three circles with the Stylish Shapes Dies. These are Basic White, Summer Splash, and Berry Burst cardstock. You can make them all the same size or different sizes. Just overlap them a little bit. The flowers are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Before adhering the Basic White circle, it was stamped with Summer Splash ink with a greeting in the Unbounded Love Stamp Set.

To embellish the card, I used several In Color Shimmer Gems and a little bow made with the Pretty in Pink 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon.

Once you have this card design, it is pretty easy to copy and make. You could use the design with other images like this one in designer series papers.

Here’s another card, a fancy fold, using several patterns of the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper.

Unbounded Beauty Split Birthday Card

Unbounded Beauty Split Birthday Card

This is one of the quickest cards I have made lately! I had the card idea in my head from one I saw online so all I had to do was choose paper and make it! I didn’t even stop to find another card like it to see how to make it. I just had to get it done and out came this Unbounded Beauty Split Birthday Card! I don’t even know what this card design would be called, but that’s what I am calling it.

The card base is Petunia Pop, one of the new In Colors. It coordinates with the pretty Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. The patterns you see on this card are the two colors on one sheet of paper. I guess my geometry skills were lacking because I thought I would just cut this 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of designer in half diagonally and flip one piece over to show the other side. But that didn’t work! so I cut another piece from the same designer paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″, cut it on my Paper Trimmer diagonally, but this time I cut it from the opposite top corner of the paper than I did the first time. Here is a photo of how to lay your paper on the Paper Trimmer:

When I swapped out one of the halves from each piece of paper, then they lined up properly! You could even have another layer on the card base and adhere the designer paper to that, but I put mine right on the card. Also, you can have the space in between the two pieces or you can push them together. I liked having that diagonal line going through the middle.

For the greeting, I diecut two circles with the Deckled Circles Dies in the Online Exclusives. One is Basic White cardstock and the larger one is Summer Splash cardstock. At first, I was going to use Petunia Pop cardstock, but I liked using the Summer Splash better for a little more color. I stamped the greeting on the Basic White circle in Summer Splash ink. The stamp is in the Unbounded Love Stamp Set. The birthday greeting seemed like just the right size for the look of this card. After stamping, I adhered the white circle layered on the Summer Splash circle.

I had even forgotten I had the ribbon in the new In Colors, so when I saw I had those, I used the Summer Splash 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon. The texture and feel of this ribbon is really nice! I applied Stampin’ Seal adhesive on the back of the Summer Splash circle and applied the ribbon back and forth behind that piece. When I popped up that greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals, those Dimensionals helped hold the ribbon in place even more.

And why not apply a few embellishments to this card for a little more pizzazz? I used the 2024-2025 In Color Resin Dots for a little bling on the greeting in Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop and Summer Splash to represent all the colors on this designer paper.

I just realized this is the first day of August and I made a birthday card….and it’s my birthday month! I didn’t even have that in my head! I was probably thinking of a friend whose birthday is the day after mine so I could send her this card. And there probably are other August birthdays I will need cards for!

Double Z-Fold Unbounded Beauty Card

Unbounded Beauty Double Z-Fold Birthday Card

If you are enjoying the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, here is a Double Z-Fold Unbounded Beauty Card made with some of the new paper, stamps, and gems in the catalog that you can now order! No matter how pretty you think this designer paper looks in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog, I guarantee you it is even more beautiful in person! And this Double Z-Fold card is very easy to make!

This card base is Pretty in Pink, one of the new In Colors 2024-2026 in the catalog. This card base is cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, then scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. If you have ever made a basic Z-Fold card, it is the same. Crease and fold the score lines so it looks like you have folded the front panel in half back on itself.

The other cardstock color I used is the new Summer Splash, another new In Color. This piece, the top Z-Fold piece, is cut at 3″ x 9″ and scored at 3″ and 6″. Crease and fold the score lines and see how it will fit on the Pretty in Pink base. Don’t adhere anything yet!

I chose the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper in the new catalog for this card. You can make your own choice about colored cardstock and designer paper patterns, but you can see what I chose. I also used Basic White cardstock as a couple of layers to add the sentiments.

The layers for the Pretty in Pink card base are cut at 4″ x 2 1/2″ (two of these) and one at 5 1/4″ x 4″. The smaller layers for the Summer Splash cardstock are cut at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″. The first square on the Summer Splash is Basic White, but I cut out some flowers from the designer paper and adhered it to the corner of the Basic White cardstock to decorate it. The middle square is the same pattern. The third square is also Basic White with another little flower cut out of the designer paper in the bottom corner. After stamping any greetings on the Basic White pieces you can adhere all the layers but don’t adhere them to the card yet.

Double Z-Fold Unbounded Beauty Card

To assemble the card, first center the Summer Splash first square at the fold of the Pretty in Pink. Be sure to not put adhesive on the entire back, just on the left side that is going to adhere to the Pretty in Pink. Then fold up the Summer Splash strip, put the card face down on the table, and put adhesive on the back of the third square. Don’t try to adhere it to the back panel of the Pretty in Pink on your own. Now just fold the back of the card over onto the Summer Splash piece. This way the Summer Splash third square will adhere in just the right place to the inside back panel. It sounds confusing but it isn’t. Try it first before you use glue!

The sentiments are in the Unbounded Love Stamp Set. I stamped these with Summer Splash ink. My new ink pad seemed to stamp a little heavy with the ink so I took a paper towel folded up and lightly dabbed on the ink pad just to get off some extra ink. Then I thought the stamped image looked better.

I also added some 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems to the front panel of the card. These come in all five In Colors, in two different sizes. They are very pretty! This may seem like a lot of directions, but once you cut the two cardstock strips and score them, then you just have the difficult decision of which pretty designer paper to use!
