Be Mine Die Cut Hearts Valentine Card

The other day I just die cut some pieces with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies and then I played with them to see if I could make a card with them! I could! As it happened, I love the look of the die cut hearts, tone on tone, at the bottom of the card. After I placed the large and small die cut hearts on the upper part of the card and put on the greeting, I decided to add some of the tiny hearts from that bottom piece inside the heart outlines. I think it all came out like a pretty good Valentine!

I used a piece of the Thick Whisper White Cardstock for the card base with a layer of the Lovely Lipstick Cardstock. The Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies are very interesting and pretty with the way they make a stitched look on the hearts and with one of the hearts just having a fancy outline to it.

Remember, hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day! I have often wished Stampin’ Up! would quit taking away out heart punches and dies because I like to use them for weddings, graduations, congratulations cards, and other occasions. How do you get to see these fabulous catalogs?? On January 3, 2019 you will be able to view them online and the products in the Stampin’ Up! Online Store. If you are a regular customer of mine, I have ordered both catalogs for you through Stampin’ Up! and you may or may not have received them by now. The catalog mail delivery is very irregular! If you are new and do not have a Demonstrator you are currently working with, I would be happy to help you and send you complimentary catalogs so you won’t miss out! Just send me your contact information so I can get them in the mail to you. It’s always fun to start a new Stampin’ Up! catalog of any kind!

Let me know if you do not receive your catalogs in a reasonable amount of time. Personally, I received two SAB Brochures and not the Occasions Catalog in the mail! I don’t know what that means!! But Stampin’ Up! will send out another catalog if customers did not receive theirs.

Hope you are still having a happy holiday season! Ours comes to an end tomorrow afternoon after the last of the kids leave! So sad! But it was fun while it lasted!

Loving the Stamparatus® To Make Christmas Cards

Last year at this time the Stamparatus® was only a new tool on a reserved order! Remember that system when it first came out? We had to wait until the New Year to receive it and I remember thinking last year what a help it would be in making Christmas cards, especially when you are doing multiples.

This year I have it and am using it with almost every card! I’m making several different designs and maybe ten cards of each design. So many fun cards out there to make! I can stamp the inside message over and over again and have it perfect every time once the stamp is centered and lined up just right. If the image doesn’t stamp perfectly, as long as I don’t move anything, I can ink up the stamp again and re-stamp. This has come in handy over and over.

The Stamparatus also came in handy stamping die cuts. Make the die cuts you want with the Big Shot, then make one extra to have a template for the Stamparatus. Place the template in the Stamparatus and then place the die cut in the template and stamp over and over. No worries you won’t fit the greeting perfectly on the die cut.

You might not have time to receive the Stamparatus® in time for this Christmas (although there is Expedited Shipping!), but be sure to put it on your order in January during Sale-A-Bration so you can use it all year and especially next Christmas!

With the two double-sided plates and the hinges, you can have several stamps all set up on the Stamparatus to stamp multiple images on your cards and projects! Here is a post where I moved the plate down a notch each time and stamped to make a Thank You card.

It’s here! My order of a few pre-ordered Occasions Catalog merchandise, some necessities, some Year-End Closeout Sale items, and my new Stamparatus Bag arrived late last night. Even though we live 5 minutes from the UPS center, I guess we are last on the route!

This bag actually looks like it would make a cute stylish purse, although that wouldn’t be very handy with zippers that zip all the way down the sides! Very pretty dark blue, I would say Night of Navy, plus the pretty handles of a different color. I think the handles are Coastal Cabana, although I don’t know if that is official! There are pockets inside to put anything you want, maybe the Small Grid Paper or the extra Stamparatus plate, maybe window sheets if you use those to get correct placement of your greeting, etc. Maybe even some chocolate bars!

This Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag makes a great Christmas present for yourself! Or hand it to your husband and tell him this is what he is giving you for Christmas! And if you don’t already own the Stamparatus, be sure to get that! You will love using it, especially in certain cardmaking situations!!

Stampin’ Up! recommends ordering by today for Christmas arrival. Depending on where you live, you might be able to fudge on that a little if you know how long your orders take to get to you. Or there is expedited shipping you can choose on your account (like 2nd Day Air for an EXTRA $20 shipping…..but so worth it sometimes! Don’t ask me how I know!). Or just make a card and say a gift is coming! There’s always a way!

Do you own a Stamparatus yet? When you start making Christmas cards, you will be glad you have one to help you with your stamping! As you can see in the funny little video above, you can do a lot of things with this tool. If you don’t get a good impression when you stamp once, you can just reink your stamp and stamp again because your paper will not have moved. You can stamp various layers by using the other plate and both sides of the plates. You will find it quite handy if you are making multiples of the same card! I know last year I wished I already had mine!

Here’s a thank you card that is easy to make with my Stamparatus! I just placed the stamp on the card where I wanted it, lowered the Stamparatus lid to pick up the stamp, inked it up, and then stamped. With the Stamparatus you can move the plastic plate down to the next hinge and the next to get the various lines of stamping. Can you imagine how long it would take to do that by hand and get it all straight??

I like to put a piece of window sheet over the card stock particularly with a greeting that I want placed perfectly because I can stamp the window sheet and see how it will look on the card. If the stamp is slightly crooked, I can correct it and re-stamp. When I have it right, I just remove the window sheet, clean it off, and stamp directly on the cardstock. With the Stamparatus the paper doesn’t move so you can stamp over and over and the paper is in the same place. If the image didn’t stamp dark enough, just reink the stamp and lay the plate back over the cardstock and stamp. Perfect positioning!

Stampin’ Up! has come out with some new accessories for the Stamparatus®! I’m especially happy about the Small Grid Paper that easily fits in the Stamparatus to protect surfaces but mainly to give you lines for lining things up. Just like the big Grid Paper I use all the time for stamping.

There are extra Stamparatus Plates if you want even more stamp arrangements to have handy and another Foam Mat. If you want to order all three items, just order the Accessories Pack.

Just think how handy the Stamparatus will be for making holiday cards this year!
