Here are some valentine ideas from Stampin' Up! Leadership last month. These are samples on display made mostly by other demonstrators and some Stampin' Up! samples. Enjoy…..and then go make someone a valentine!

A Valentine Card
You may be looking for more valentine card ideas this weekend so here is a valentine I made while ago and don't think I ever posted. You could make the card base Whisper White as I did or you could just make it Real Red. I embossed some scraps of paper and cut into squares for the focal point, plus stamped a heart and added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Everything is better with a little Dazzling Diamonds, isn't it?! The cupid stamped on the background is from the Occasions Mini Catalog stamp set P.S. I Love You. Just stamp the cupid with either Versamark ink for that watermark look or the same color ink, Real Red, to provide that same light monochromatic look.
Just get out some colored paper and your stamping accessories and see what you come up with!
Fashionable Hearts Valentine Card
I noticed I had a few stacks of die cut hearts from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit Die #125596 in the Occasions Mini just sitting on my table….
so of course I thought "I should make something with those!"
So here's a simple card you could make for Valentine's Day or really any occasion! This is a 4 1/4"x 4 1/4" card and I just glued on some of the smallest and next size up hearts on to the card. At the end I had to use a little bling by putting on some basic Rhinestones. This would even be cute as a very small 3"x 3" gift card or note card. So here is one!
Isn't that fun??! You could do the same with a heart punch….but what a versatile idea!

Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment Card
One of my two favorite products you can earn for free during the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion is the beautiful Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. With just a $50 Stampin' Up! purchase, you can choose one free product in the special Sale-A-Bration Catalog…spend more, earn more! For more details about Sale-A-Bration, click HERE.
I originally planned to make a valentine, but I think it turned into more of an all-occasion card…..not that it can't BE a valentine!
Here is the inside of the card.
And if you noticed, I used the new Adorning Accents Edgelit Die #125595 to cut the beautiful edge on the front of the card. The Big Shot does make a little bit of a horrible noise as it goes over that die, but don't worry. I already had my designer paper attached to the Very Vanilla card base.
AFTER cutting, I then embossed with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #125601 that matches the Edgelit Die. This is a regular embossing folder but narrow to place exactly where you want it.
Remember to cut first, emboss second! This keeps the embossing from getting smooshed when you cut.
The greeting inside my card was stamped with the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Elementary Elegance stamp set.
If you need some valentine card ideas, just get out your paper, ink and stamps and play….you'll come up with something, perhaps unexpected!
Need a Valentine Gift?
Need a Valentine gift? This is the Stampin' Up! Simply Adorned Charm and Chain and the valentine insert that I designed myself. It is so much fun to design your own jewelry by making a little insert for each side of the Simply Adorned Charm.
I just stamped a little flower from Tiny Tags, tore a little piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper, punched two hearts with my Small Heart Punch, made a tiny little border with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and added a cute little Rhinestone Jewel.
And you can also design something on the backside of your insert or make another one to show through on the other side of the charm.
Here's the other side using the same Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, a string of rhinestones and an embossed heart from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die.
The Simply Adorned line from Stampin' Up! is going to be discontinued so if you are interested in owning this unique jewelry, be sure to get the pieces you want. My charm is the 1"x1 1/4" Charm #116798 with the Simply Adorned 24" Chain #116800.
You can find this Simply Adorned line in the Stampin' Up! 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog on page 189.
Take It to Heart Valentine Card–My Stampin’ Up! Leadership Swap Card
This Valentine card is made with the new stamp set Take It to Heart in the Occasions Mini Catalog and is the swap card I made for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference last week in San Antonio. The color is a bit off but it is Whisper White and Real Red card stock. Just some stamping and some punching with the Large Lace Ribbon Border Punch #122362 and a little blink with a small rhinestone jewel.
If you need this stamp set or any other stamping supplies to make your valentines, please click HERE to go to my Online Store or contact me with your order and I'll place it for you.
Remember, if you purchase $50 or more, you get to choose a free product from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog! If you have an order of $150 or more, please contact me so I can place it for you and get the free workshop tote.
P.S. I Love You Valentine Card
This valentine uses two new stamp sets by Stampin' Up!….P.S. I Love You and Take It to Heart. Funny how a card design can evolve while you are working on it! The idea I had in my head was several of the hearts along the bottom and then the "P.S. I Love You". But then I thought the middle was going to need something, maybe the heart embossing and maybe a stamped heart, etc. etc. So if the design you start with doesn't quite work, just keep playing with it. I guarantee you will come up with something you are happy with!
Be sure to check out the new Occasions Mini Catalog to choose your stamps and accessories for making those valentines! You can shop online for Occasions Mini Catalog items right HERE. Be sure to check the Clearance Rack also when you are making an online order.
Take It to Heart Valentine Card
Take It to Heart is a beautiful stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. Even though there are heart stamps in it and heart shapes, this set will be perfect for many occasions, not just Valentine’s Day. Add the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut out the hearts and you have a wonderful combination for your projects!
The ribbon along the sides of the Real Red center panel is the gorgeous 3/8″ Pleated Satin Ribbon in Blushing Bride. It comes in other colors too to match all your projects!
The sentiment on the side is from the ever-useful stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.

Valentine Diorama Card
I almost forgot I wanted to make a diorama card for Valentine's Day! It's a little difficult to photograph so I'll show you the top view first. A diorama card is essentially three layers: the back, and then the front and middle with a window punched out so that you can see all the way through or so that it looks 3D.
Here is the card straight-on.
I cut two sheets of card stock 8.5" x 3.5" and one sheet for the middle at 6.5" x 3.5". This is another project that once you understand the basic idea, you can make any size you want. Then just decorate and stamp how you like.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
My Digital Studio Valentine
I wanted to make a Valentine in My Digital Studio the easy way! I found a designer template that inspired me in the program and then just changed a few things. See if you can find all the things I did!
Here is the designer template. It is a birthday card all ready to be printed….but you can change every single thing on it if you want.
And here is the card for Valentine's Day I changed it to:
I changed the background to Pretty in Pink, deleted the flower and added a heart shaped punch and filled it with a polka dot designer paper. I added a Pretty in Pink button and a taffeta bow on it. Also, I deleted the greeting and found a valentine greeting instead and changed the color to Real Red. With My Digital Studio I can also fill the inside of the card with a color or designer paper, add decorative elements, whatever greeting I want and I've got a whole card! After printing, if I wanted to, I could add a real bow to the heart flower or a real button and ribbon.
My Digital Studio is easy for the beginner in digital papercrafting, yet has many things to explore so that you would never get bored as you progress in your ability! To learn more about My Digital Studio software, please click HERE.
Cute by the Inch Valentine
Just a little quickie I made playing with the Cute by the Inch Hostess stamp set and the Petal Card Punch #119273. Punch four of the petals. Trim off one side flap on all the petals. Line them all up side by side and you will see to glue the flap of one to the inside of the one next to it. That way with all four glued together in a line, you can form a box and then glue the last flap. I stamped the heart from Cute by the Inch, a stamp set you can earn when you hostess a workshop and punched a little flower to decorate. It's just big enough to hold a Hershey's Kiss or a diamond necklace for Valentine's Day!!
Easy Valentine Craft
If you are looking for an easy valentine craft for kids or a school valentine idea, this is it. I saw this idea in a scrapbooking magazine and I had extra valentine pencils taking up space in my messy room. I cut a piece of cardstock 3" x 3 1/2" and rounded the corners with the 3/16" Corner Punch #119871. Glue on any piece of designer series paper slightly smaller than the card stock, 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" after rounding its corners. Punch two holes for the pencil with a 1/2" Circle Punch #119869. Insert the pencil in the holes and then add something over the middle of the pencil. I punched a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle #118874 and stamped on a 1 3/4" Circle Punch #119850. For the boys I used the stamp set Fox & Friends….what cute little animals!! For the girls I used the stamp sets Love You Much #113756 and I {Heart} Hearts.
There's space on the back to write a greeting. Really fun and easy to make!
Valentine's Day in Monday, February 14th so not much time left!
Valentine Triangle Treat Box
One of my blog readers today asked me about triangle boxes, and after cutting and folding a piece of paper to refresh my memory on how to describe to her how to make one, I thought why not make one for Valentine's Day!
After scoring and folding, I ran the paper through my Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335. I would say that embossing folder makes anything look good, but then I would say that for all of the embossing folders! The decoration on the front is made with a stamp from the "Love You Much" stamp set #113756. That's a cute set! To make it a little fancier, I stamped the image twice so I could punch out the "hugs & kisses" with the 1" Circle Punch and a layer for that with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. I also stamped the heart again and just cut it out with my Paper Snips (you've got to have those for cutting little things!!). You can pop up whichever layers you want with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here is a view of the box from the side so you can see what it looks like.
And here is the basic format for making the triangle box. You can make any size you need. My paper happens to be 4" x 11", scored in the middle at 5 1/2". Measure at each end to find the center and put a pencil mark. Then score on a diagonal from the center fold edges to that midpoint on each end. Fold on all the scored lines and fold into your triangle box. See where you want to punch the holes on the side flaps where you will tie the ribbon to hold the box closed.
Just stamp or decorate your box how you want and put a treat in it!

Valentine Favor Tin
Having some of these little favor tins left over from our daughter's wedding, I thought I should decorate one for Valentine's Day. They really are handy little things to have on hand! What cute valentine gifts or valentine favors these will make!
Supplies:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (greeting), Clearly for You (Occasions Mini)
Paper: Red Glimmer Paper #121790, Love Impressions Specialty Designer Series Paper #121780, Love Patterns #124156, Whisper White card stock
Ink: Basic Gray, Real Red
Accessories: Full Heart Extra-Large Punch #119883, Heart Small Punch #117193, Basic Rhinestones #119246. Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon #109034, Stampin' Dimensionals #104430, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755, Wilton Favor Tin
Funny thing is, the inspiration for the tin came from finding scraps on my table! First I found a scrap of the designer paper, cut it a little shorter and wrapped around the tin. I already have a glimmer heart punched out just waiting for a project and stuck that on. The little red bow I found in my bag of scrap ribbon, already the perfect size! Actually, it looked plenty cute with just the DSP wrapped around the side and the glimmer heart stuck on top!
Now what to do with it? Fill it with candy, of course!! OR stamp some little valentine messages, coupon, or wishes. Attach them to a strand of ribbon and you'll have a little valentine garland to pull out of the tin. OR just use it for your Valentine gift box!
